We are thrilled to announce the launch of the audiobook version of 1521: Rediscovering the History of the Philippines, narrated by Claudine Najera.

You may not know this about me, but I was in a production of The King and I when I was in high school. Yes, there was singing… there was dancing… elaborate sets and costumes… rehearsals late into the night. To this day, I can still remember the words to the songs. How I ended up in this production is a story for another time. Claudine and I played wives of The King. It was one many things we did together, since our parents were friends.

Years later, Claudine became a radio DJ. Her voice can also be heard on some TV commercials in the Philippines. So when it came time to produce the audiobook version of my pandemic project, I immediately thought of her as the narrator.

I’m happy to say that she agreed and after nearly a year of hard work, the audiobook is ready for launch! Without your support, this would not have been possible.
